With expansive views of the rolling hills of northeastern Connecticut, this home finds it’s roots in the clapboard farmhouses native to the region. Bright spaces flow smoothly maximizing views of the meadows and pond on one side and the woods on the other. A welcoming front porch and strong gables provide comfortable shelter. The house has a highly functional kitchen design complete with an island as well as a luxury master bathroom design and a unique stairway to both the entry and kitchen from the upstairs hallway.

Example blueprints of the MOUNTAINSIDE HOUSE
Process
The house was to be the first house in a development. It was built on speculation by the developer. The home owners purchased the house prior to the completion of the house which allowed them to pick out colors and fixtures.
The developer had built a similar design 20 years ago.
The revised design had to take into consideration current design trends.
Updated building codes were incorporated into the design.
Updated technology were included to make it a “smart home”.
